Polymers for Process Water and Tailing Water

Tailings consist of ground rock and process effluents that are generated in a mine processing plant. Mechanical and chemical processes are used to extract the desired product from the run of the mine ore and produce a waste stream known as tailings. Neo Solutions, Inc. offers many different treatments for separation of solids from water in tailings ponds. This reduces the environmental stress on an area, and allows for lower overall operating costs for the mine. Neo Solutions, Inc. has successfully implemented polymers at many mines across the globe, including oil sands, copper, and coal.

Process water refers to water used in manufacturing processes such as rinsing, plating, spraying, coating, cooling, washing, boiler water make-up, cooling tower make-up, etc. This water may need treatment before it is used in processing to remove minerals, colors, and other organic particulates. Additionally, water that has already been used in a process may need cleaned before disposal or re-use.
